Who is Zamminlun? 

Zamminlun is a self-taught hyperrealist artist, teacher, and peacemaker from Manipur, India. He lives in a small village called Sumtukphai, in Churachandpur district, where his parents were farmers. He loves nature and stories, which he learned from his father, who passed away in 2017 due to cancer. His father’s last wish was for peace, which Zamminlun tries to honour by working on a project called “The Root of Peace”. In this project, he investigates the causes and solutions of global conflicts, and hopes to find a way to end the suffering of humanity.

He also cares deeply about the natural environment, which he believes is essential for peace and harmony. He has launched another initiative called “Save Wildlife”, where he advocates for the protection and conservation of the wildlife and their habitats. He thinks that humans should respect all forms of life, and learn from them. He has a gift for art, which he discovered and nurtured on his own. He is fascinated by hyperrealism, where he can capture every detail and emotion of his subjects. He draws inspiration from everything around him, from the mundane to the extraordinary. He enjoys the process of making an artwork as much as the finished piece of art. He wants to share his vision and joy with others through his artworks.

He has opened two art studios in Manipur, one in Imphal and the other in Churachandpur, where he teaches realistic art to more than 400 students. He is Zamminlun, an artist, a teacher, and a seeker of peace.
